@ 440 Single description:

"Heart Go Boom" is the third single from the third Apollo 440's album. The single was released in November 1999. It is accessible in two versions on 12" disks and in two CD versions.
CD1 - CD EXTRA contains the title song, two tracks in concert version, "Heart Go Boom" video and clips of the making of the video. CD2 contains the title track and the remixes by Lionrock (who also remixed "Lost In Space"), Bad Company and Harry K (DJ of Apollo 440). The single is also accessible on MC.
The original cover image is just a piece of one of the frames from "Heart Go Boom" video.
"Heart Go Boom" is a track that lulls you into a lazy afternoon of reggae dub only to assault with a drum'n'bass explosion complete with gunshots, all vividly interpreted by controversial director Jason Smith in the spaghetti western genre video. The action of the video is a kind of continuation of "Stop The Rock" video and the element that connects these two clips is a mysterious vial with which the pit bull in "Stop The Rock" was running away.

@ 440 Track by track examination:

1. Heart Go Boom (@440 edit):
Written by P Colbourne / K Goodman / I Hoxley / Noko / T Gray / H Gray. Vocals: Mary Mary.
The track begins with languid, shimmering melody in reggae dub style and later it explodes into a carnival-like, drum'n'bass revelry of guitar riffs. You can even hear the gunshots. Then it returns to its bouncy reggae flow.

2. Altamont (live):
Written by Noko. Vocals: Mary Mary / Harry K.
It is the extended, concert version of the track known from "Electro Glide In Blue" album. It is live version of "Altamont Super-Highway Revisited". It was performed at The Astoria, London on 25th September 1999. It contains vocals by Mary Mary and Jarry K that aren't present in album version of the track.

3. The Machine In The Ghost (live):
Written by: T Gray / H Gray / Noko / P Colbourne. Vocals: Mary Mary.
Similary to "Altamont (live)" this track is a live version of the track known from "Gettin' High On Your Own Supply" album. Together with "Altamont (live)" it is a whole and it was recorded on the same concert and it was performed just after "Altamont".
